Hi Prado
Your best option is probably to contact the IT support folks at your
company. Ask them to help configure the Cisco VPN Client on your new laptop.
I would like to help you, myself. But the problem you are seeing could
be caused by many different things. It is very difficult to troubleshoot
this kind of configuration issue via a newsgroup. A solution could
depend on the security settings on the Cisco VPN Router; the IP
addressing your corporate network uses; the Exchange Server; firewall,
or many other things.
As you have a working laptop (the Sony Vaio) and the not-working laptop
(the new Vista one): you can also compare the configurations
side-by-side, and see what is different between them.
To make a VPN connection, you will need a current Version of the Cisco
VPN Client installed on your Vista laptop. The windows Firewall in Vista
will also need to allow VPN connections to pass through. Normally the
Cisco VPN software will make this adjustment for you, when you install
it (but it is good to check).
Good luck,
Andrew
