Rick Rogers
Thank you again for your help.. It is much appreciated!
- You should read: 'Stop error message when you start a Windows
Vista-based computer: "0x0000C1F5"'
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946084) as it talks about
that error message.

I had a look at the page listed by you and I would say that is my
problem. I have downloaded the Hotfix it recommends but I am unable to
execute the hotfix as I cannot get to a Command Prompt screen or
anything that will allow me to open the file [image:

I guess I will need to get another computer so I can create a boot disk
to access Command Prompt? Or install a old hard drive with XP that I
have as an extra into my computer so I can maybe gain access to some
functionality?
If you have any tips or other ideas please let me know [image:

post results.
Kind Regards
Sam
