No true, there is no reason to enter the BIOS of a .vmc to set any boot
order to be able to install an OS.

If the OS is being installed from an OS install disk, selecting CD > Use
Physical Drive is all that would be needed. Otherwise if the OS install is
an .iso image file then selecting CD > Capture ISO Image... is needed.
