I'm giving this to my grandson, so speed is not an issue. I know that
the IDE on the G3s will only recognize a max of 128 gig, but I'm not
sure about the 8 gig partition that was necessary early in OS X. I can
get a referb or a "white label" one for less than $40.
I hate to see this relic thrown into the landfil or even recycled.
