Are you just selecting text or other content, and not creating a link to a
specific paragraph/page/section/notebook? Does this issue occur only when
C&P *from* OneNote *to* OneNote? Do you get hte PAste Options menu when
you paste anything? From there you should be able to select "Keep Source
Formatting" to retain font formatting from the copied text.
Does changing the related options in Tools | Options | Editing | Editing
Section help or change the behavior?
