I find my Linux EeePCs have a problem with multimedia applications
(needs more CPU horse power), but my Windows 2000/XP EeePCs are just
fine. Even full screen on an external monitor.

Say how do you single computer users put up with the limited
multitasking anyway? Back in the early days before the craze of
multitasking OS, we used multiple computers. I still continue this
practice even today.

Some people like to have multiple OS on a single computer. That means
you have to reboot to access the other one. Or run virtual machines
which eats up processor time. I believe this is insane. Use multiple
computers and this problem disappears.

One of them needs to reboot after an install, backup, or whatever... no
problem. You have multiple computers so it isn't an issue. And if one
has a hardware failure, again no problem. You have spares. See how this
works?
