DOS is "still around" after 25+ years so by your loose definition that
prediction is likely correct. But I doubt that more than one percent
of users (hobbyists) will be using XP in ten years. If Vista hadn't
been such a debacle I wouldn't have given it 5 years...

They have taken notice. A version of W7 is designed for netbooks.

Judging from the new processors in the works the death of XP may be
