As "R. McCarty" says - use the AutoRuns [Microsoft] utility to search
for the offending program.

Also, when you say "cannot see anything resembling RegCure" it may be
that the executable (the actual program itself) is called something
different. You will have to make sure you know what it is called. If
you look in 'Task Manager', you will see the executable's name i.e.
RegCure.exe

Then, when you open up the AutoRuns program, look under the more obvious
tabs such as : "Logon" (which includes the contents of the registry
"Run" keys ) "Scheduled Tasks" and "Services" before resorting to
looking under the "Everything" tab, where you are sure to find it....

Just like 'msconfig.exe' next to each item listed is a 'checkbox' so
you can then simply 'un-check' it to disable it.
