I've quickly tested this on my TC1100 running W7 with a 1280*1024 external
monitor. See my remarks in the just-posted update at

In a nutshell: use the hacked VGA driver to gain access to higher
resolutions. They work (I've tested) under Win7; I think they should work
under WinXP too (havent tested this, though).
