Thanks Chris, you've been a big help. I am not running Exchange at all and
messages are archived on a regular basis. But, I was running Business
Contact Manager for Outlook which I have uninstalled. I no longer get the
WMS message, but shutdown still takes over five munutes. Occasionally, but
not always, I get the "End Program" message with "IExplorer.exe" still
running. I have tried to go back to a restore point and have been unable to
do that. I have also tried to run backup in preparation to running my
recovery disk. The backup utility just locks up and sits in with a message
that it is preparing to back up. I,m about to move my most critical files
and run the recovery disk. Your thoughts? Doug
