I don't have an IBM/Lenovo but the other day I installed Win7 RC on my
good old HP tc1100 (which had originally been running under XP TabletPC
edition and later under Vista).
Most things worked fine immediately.
In addition I had to install the COMPAQ/HP "Q-Menu" application (which
offers a menu for most features when the "Q" hardware button is used.
This needed the nNvidia graphics drivers (both from HP's XP downloads,
HP does not offer any Vista things for my old model).
Furthermore I installed the XP drivers for the TI card-reader. Although
this is a trouble kid everything went fine in so far.
What dose not work so far:
Three of the hardware buttons (originally assigned for (a) rotation (b)
TIP and (c) Windows Journal) are not operable. All other hardware
buttons work fine.
And there is one bigger problem:
If the pen is moved to the utmost top (in landscape mode) resp. the
utmost right (portrait mode) in an area of app. 9 mm the pen shows a
terrible flickering and is not really functional. This does not happen
in any other area of the screen.
Calibration does not help.
It could be that I has made a mistake when during the install the
initial calibration screen came up where the outer birders had to be
set.
Therefore I will run a new install from scratch.
As a possible advice:
Check on Lenovo's site for the drivers and utilities both for XP and
Vista and try them out in case something is missing in Win7.
