Major annoyance: Right click drag start delay

Hi, My problem is actually with windows Vista but I think it stems from its
tablet pc integrated functions so that's why I think posting here is
relevant... Below is the post I submitted to answers.microsoft.com from which
I was pointed to this newsgroup. Thank you.

-------------

Hi, I have been using a wacom intuos pen tablet as my main input device for
many years... I've recently moved to windows vista and see, whenever I right
click drag, windows seems to have introduced a buffer distance of some 15
pixels that the pointer has to travel in order for the action to be
considered as drag instead of just a click. This is a MAJOR annoyance in some
graphics programs that require a fluid start of dragging with the right click
assigned button of the pen or when using right click drag to rotate 3D models
in 3D software for instance.

As I can imagine, this buffer distance feature was probably introduced as
some kind of UI control for tablet PCs. But it greatly interferes with the
use of a pen tablet for artistic pruposes.

Anyway, is there any registry setting where I can reduce this drag distance
to 1px? It doesn't seem related to the one in Control Panel\Mouse\Drag width
and height.

Other things that I've tried with no luck:

To get rid of the Tablet PC functions by removing them from Programs and
Features. The annoyance remains.

I also tried stopping the "Tablet PC Input service" but my tablet becomes
unresponsive then. It seems the wacom service depends on it.

Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
