Re: .NET 1.1 Update and TIP - Best Fix...???

Steve, I'll think on this a while. Just back from a long trip out of town,
and need to settle the brain a little bit. You do need .NET 1.1 installed.
I would suggest killing Norton thoroughly, via msconfig from the Start/Run
line so it doesn't even launch, restart the machine, and then trying the
install. Norton (and Symantec products) don't quit when you "exit" from the
Systray icon.

I'll try to get back within a couple hours (unless I decide sleep is more
important), but will continue with you on this matter.
