Re: Can I download an Intel Utility to control the Centrino's speed?

Haven't heard of it, Juan, but you might check the Intel web site. I would
believe if you lower the power (stepping down) it is going to be detrimental
to your usage.

The situation is one where if you're using a convertible Tablet PC in
slate-type mode with the screen covering the keyboard, you're blocking the
nature escape route of the hot air through the keyboard itself.

Dear friends:

Can I download an Intel Utility to control the Centrino's speed?

I have detected that when I use my ACER C-110TCi TabletPC in summer
and with AC power, it gets a little warm. Maybe, if I can adjust the
CPU's speed, I can lower the power usage and thus the temperature.
Microsoft's Power Control Panel applet doesn't allow you to do that.

This problem doesn't happens when I use my TabletPC with batteries.

I remember that an older IBM Thinkpad I had, came with this kind of
utility.

Any hint?
