| Hello from So Texas 17 years after my first Bachelors degree, I find myself having to go back to school. I was/am a hardware person and becuase of a leg amputation, in May 2005, I made the decision to become a software person. More specifically, an IT Network Security Administrator. I go to a local community college for the Microsoft and network classes and go to physical therapy 3 times a week.
Enough of the mushy pity party. The reason I want to be part of your community. I want to buy a tablet PC and have been reading and researching. I have narrowed my search to Toshiba's M7 or R 25. I don't want to give the impression that money is no object. Texas' Rehabilitation program is going to help me pay for school from this point forward. So, the money I was going to spend on school, I can now spent on my Tablet and software,
Through an advertised link on my school's website, I purchased Office Pro 2003 with One Note ($239) and Visio Pro ($159). Now my requirements for the Tablet.
I want a Duo2 Ghz and 4MB cache
2 MB Ram
Multi layer DVD
Bluetooth
80 GB or > ---need help on 5400 or 7200 rpm---
I am going to buy a 3-4 yr total protection package (I can't see paying $2500 for a Tablet and not having the extended warranty
Some other requirements because of school
I will have to partition for Linux and XP Tablet
I will also have to run Virtual PC
This brings me back to my original problem the M7 or R25. Also, if anyone has a better suggestions, I'm all ears.
Thanks
