Re: USB support from a DOS SD card

hi there. if anyone is still out there and interested i really NEED help. i am currently locked out of my toshiba protege r100 and about ready to give up on it. i need to find a way to boot off of something! i thought this nifty .vfd file would be my saviour but it's not working. my guess is that either i don't have the bios set up properly to read off the sd card (or it's impossible on this machine) or i don't have the .vfd set up properly. so here are my questions: - i have the option in the bios of booting from the cd-rom (my factory one is dead and the aftermarket ones generate a media error), fdd (what fdd???), network, and hdd. the hdd can prioritize between the "pc card" (i am assuiming a pcmia card) and the "built in hdd". none of these appear to be the sd card, and none of them work! it always winds up in the winxp mode where i am locked out - is there something more involved than just formatting a sd card for FAT and then copying the .vfd file? i tried this, and it didn't work, but then again see the first bullet point well, if anyone is still out there and has any idea i would be deeply indebted! thanks jsm
