I have two Kensington wireless two button with scroll wheel mice which I use
with my MacBook Pro, one mouse remaining on my desktop and one goes with me
when I take the MacBook somewhere such as to a meeting or to my favorite pub.
Indeed if they are dropped the batteries might fall out, but I'll accept the
dropping as my own clumsiness. As for losing the connection that hasn't been
a problem. I do like the feel of the mouse and how my lands (I use it with
either hand) position on the mouse.

an amusing aside, there was a time when my computer was acting crazy, menus
would drop and then immediately disappear just to name one oddity. I packed
up the MacBook Pro and took it to the genius bar at the Apple store and
everything worked fine. It then dawned on me that I had left the mouse in the
carrying case on and the computer was responding to both the mouse on the
desktop and the mouse in the case that apparently had one of the buttons
pressed by the case.
