Yes the resolutions solved the problem and I did back up the registry
before doing so. To answer your other question, no I do not have SP3
and didn't know that it was available. I check Microsoft updates on a
regular basis and would have thought that if it was available it would
say so and prompt me to install it. Am I incorrect in this? I want to
thank you for taking the time to help me. Unfortuately, when I logged
on the computer today I have another issue but it's with AVG which
when updating came back with an error message saying a bin file is
missing? So now I have that to deal with.
