Re: Microsoft Updates:

Hello Robear,

I followed your steps and it didn't work and I recieved the following
error message:

Error 1402 setup cannot open the registry key. KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
\Software\classes\giffile\shell\Open\ddeexec. Verify you have
permissions to access the registry or contact your computer
manufacturer's product support for assistance.

Why is it that some updates are so involved and need the user to take
all these steps? Isn't the point of updates to make things easier? I
would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions.

Thanks,

Robert
