Which OS are you working with?

Depending on how much space you need for your data, you might need
additional partitions, possibly on the standard HDD in your system.
If you are running Vista, the necessary redirecting for the default
directories *can* be done. But it's anything but trivial and affords
knowledge and proper planning.
