In The Market I'll be entering law school this fall at George Mason and I'm looking to buy a portable computer for class and home use. I have a fairly decent desktop machine that I've upgraded fairly regularly so I'll be using both in parallel.
Anyway, I'm really liking the idea of getting a tablet instead of a notebook. I think that a convertible is probably the way to go as I'm not quite ready to give up my beloved keyboard. Before I commit to a tablet I do have a few questions though.
Does it makes sense for me to wait until July before purchasing a tablet? I've heard that several upgrades are likely to be made this summer including the newest windows version and wireless N. Is that true and if so should I wait?
What tablet should I look into? The only first hand experience I have with one is the HP 1100.
Do any of the tablets come with a built in CD drive? I'm not adverse to getting an external, just trying to consider the pros/cons of each.
Thanks in advance for the help. |
