Thanks for looking but I don't think that's it. The answer to the "How
do I know when a pop-up window is being blocked?" FAQ on that page is
that the mouse pointer will turn into a fist icon, whereas I'm seeing a
yellow splodge with a red exclamation mark appearing on the normal pointer.
