Now I almost feel bad that I spent my own time to google an answer for your
problem and point out that it's not hard. You have spent who knows how many
dozens, propably hundreds times of time that it took from me installing
different distros and whining about it not working out of the box! Even in
windows you will have to do certain steps to get it work - and yes, I know,
have done it on 95, 98, ME and XP. Those steps have no big difference BUT if
you insist I'd say that in case of Ubuntu the more difficult is windows (and
ubuntu also installs by default with firewall that you can at least take
seriously).
