I'm having some problems understanding... for example, don't know what
"stylet" refers to ...perhaps "stylus?"

From my experience, that is "normal" ...the window is essentially
staying the same size on one axis and retaining proportions... if it
does not do this, the user looses control by not being able to get to
the borders for the controls that are there.

OK... the question is if you can then use the graphic utility while in
that orientation to set the resolution to the maximum available resolution.
