For me, a tool is a tool. If I need to drive a nail, I'll use a hammer. If
I need to cut down a tree, I'll use a chainsaw.

Linux. Windows. Who cares? I'll use the one that gets the job done the
fastest, easiest and cheapest (in that order).

For me, the goal is always to acheive the goals of a given task or project
within the parameters of technical expertise, money and time available to
the project. If a hammer helps me to do this, or a chainsaw helps, or both,
it matters not a whit to me.
