Since reinstalling XP on my 3-year old laptop recently I've been getting
weekly BSODs (on a good week), and every once in a while I get this message
upon reboot. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense--exact same hardware I've had
for 3 years, and all of a sudden my BIOS doesn't match my CPU?
Riiiiiiiiight.

My favorite is that after a reboot I'll also occasionally get a "this
problem has been fixed in a newer version of Vista". I'm not entirely
certain that whatever is outputting this message realizes that I'm not even
running Vista to begin with...or if it's actually suggesting I "upgrade" to
Vista.
