dells recommendation
on ram configuration,
you might try is to remove
the additional ram and
try your system with only
a 512 ram chip .
windows will run just
fine on 512 and you
should see if the boot
up issue resolves.
if not, then i would test
the other 512.

it is not uncommon that
ram goes bad.
also mix and matching different
ram modules is not always
successful on some mobo's.
