Wow! Just when I am beginning the search for a new laptop on an extremely limited budget, I come across this article by Information Week's Bill O'Brien that gives a long list of notebooks that are within my price range. It's hot off the presses--err..off the keyboard--so I know that most of these deals should still be available.

O'Brien divides the list into two groups: "laptops for minimalists," and "laptops with a little more." He includes a few other tips to keep in mind as you shop. Now I just have to study and compare and see what looks best for my needs. Oh--and come up with the money.
