Commercials are the backbone of many Superbowl parties. People love to sit around and rate the commercials while jabbering about the game. This year we have a good football game and lousy commercials. Here are my picks for the winners and losers.
The Losers
First, Fox is the clear loser because airing the GoDaddy beaver commercial would have sparked some great debates on the Internet. Instead, of beaver we get lousy cartoonish pooh about upcoming movies. Are unibrows that interesting? who really thinks that is funny? Snore. And seeing Justin falling is not funny. Absolutely not. Geez, the Doritos ad was cheesy, with too much cheese and not enough feel good.
The Winners
T-mobile leveraged a cute "Hey Chuck" idea but Hank, the clydesdale horse, is the emotional winner. Hank - congratulations on making the team. But, GMC won the Cool award with a simple black and white ad.

it was history in the making...
Giants 0-2 start > Patriots 18-1

The game was the best in recent history. I can only think of some SF 49ers games that ended in a more spectacular way.
I enjoyed reading everyone's twitters during the game, too!

Personally, I liked the dancing lizards commercial, but it didn't do a really great job of selling, because I didn't remember what it was advertising! I vaguely remember some flavored water type of thing--not sure.
I always like the Clydesdale ads...I love horses! And they usually have a little touch of feel-good Americana. Kinda sweet. (I don't get how the whole idea ties in with beer though!)
