Leo's grand experiment

There are days that I become envious of people who have ideas and move forward with them. Leo Laporte, the tech guy, is putting together a new project - a grand experiment. As Leo says: I’ve also been watching what Chris Pirillo has been doing on Ustream, Robert Scoble on Qik, and I have come to believe there’s significant interest in live streaming video.

Yes, there is interest as long as the streaming is unique. Merging audio, video, and the Internet is not new but remains elusive to the general public. JenniCam was groundbreaking and many people have attempted to copy the ideas. However, technology enthusiasts streaming live as they wait in line for an Apple iPhone is not terribly exciting if they are also waiting in line. Somehow the streaming must be mobile, too.

Let's see how the experiment takes shape. Best of luck. I'll be watching.
