U.S. Spies Want to Find Terrorists in World of Warcraft

It sounds a bit science fiction-ish, but it seems it's actually true. Software is being developed by U.S. intelligence that will sniff out terrorist types in World of Warcraft and other MMOs.

So far, it's a provisional concept, but if it shows promise, it could become a full project. It will begin with studies that will set the baseline norms and then apply these levels to detect suspicious behavior and actions--all in a virtual setting.

It's called the Reynard project. "Reynard the Fox" has a long history as a trickster in tales from medieval Europe.

Here's an interesting aside: since this is a government project, essentially you will be paying for a program that monitors you and your friends as you play WoW and other popular MMOs.
